Key Duties and Responsibilities
Knowledge to operate tractor for mowing ditches, backhoe, semi and trailer, grader, spraying, installing signs, hauling gravel, snow removal, and fixing culverts.
Keeping track of shop inventory, log work, log and report inspections and ensure safety procedures are followed and fully maintained daily.
Good interpersonal skills and ability and establish effective working relationships with council, staff, contractors and rate payers.
Ability to repair machinery and attachments. Ex Checking fluid levels, greasing, etc.
There will be some heavy lifting required
The Successful Applicant Should Possess:
Experience is an asset in maintenance and operation of heavy equipment, but training can be provided
Good Time management skills and the ability to work unsupervised.
Great communication and documentation skills
Valid Class 1A Drivers licence or committed to obtaining a class 1A license
Must complete and obtain pesticide applicator license, PME, WHMIS, Ground Disturbance course
