Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Central Services is responsible to provide executive and managerial services for the membership services and income support departments and their associated managers and staff. Work to maintain efficient operations of the organization. Overseeing the administrations day-to-day operations, administrative direction, and core functions. Work strategically and cooperatively with other high-level directors and managers. Analyze, implement, and communicate organizational needs and change.Engage in regular, structured discussions with other directors and managers to encourage and enhance organization and staff performance in achieving strategic objectives. Work with others to encourage collaborative relationships within the organization and resolve conflicts where needed. Promote an inclusive environment that exemplifies an appreciation and acceptance of cultural diversity and differences. Utilize resources such as staff, partners, materials, and other organizational resources effectively and with foresight of budgets and funding. Think strategically about the direction and focus of the organization. Develop a clear and firm understanding of the vision, values, and objectives of the organization. Implement goals, programs, and new initiatives in a manner that aligns with the strategic direction and long-term planning of the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in business or commerce; or an equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, and experience. At least 5 years senior level management experience. Experience working for a First Nation organization is preferred. Knowledge of First Nation culture and traditions. Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Ability to make well informed and thought-out decisions. Must a pre-employment drug screening and Criminal Record Check prior to commencement of employment
