Job Description: The manager will be responsible for the development of strategic and operational plans that support provincial growth of children's specialty programs through a hub and spoke model. The incumbent will provide direct support for specific operational clinical units and program support and development for subspecialty programs. Coordination of resourcing (human, equipment, and infrastructure) to support growth and maintenance of subspecialty programs will be key. Working with managers from the JPCH, collaboration with provincial specialty and subspecialty programs on the development and delivery of shared care clinical protocols and tools that facilitate the dissemination of best practice standards and care closer to home will be necessary. Collaborative partnerships must be established with health care providers and leaders at all levels of the organization but particularly with leadership structure within the Maternal Child portfolio; external provincial organizations, national pediatric organizations and other centers with the ability to provide care on an outpatient basis. The manager will foster a culturally competent environment which supports child and family centered care through a trauma informed approach.
