The Role
Camecos business technology services (BTS) department provides vital services to world-wide operations utilizing a variety of technologies to support key operations. We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working team-player to join the Business Intelligence team to administer and support the operational data needs of the mining division. This is a great opportunity to develop skills in a high demand technology, as well as to interact with the business and understand their needs to provide innovative solutions using data modelling and content development. This is a 2-year temporary staff position.

In this role, you will:
-Work within a team of technical experts to understand the data requirements and optimise their use for mining operations.
-Improving business processes and driving innovation using business intelligence software.
-Be responsible for developing creative dashboards, front-end visualizations and data modelling that will provide decision support capabilities to the operations.
Be part of an exciting digital transformation journey, as Cameco matures from descriptive to more predictive and prescriptive data analytics.

Required:  
-Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, data science, statistics, operations research, economics, or mathematics
-Three years of applicable work experience
-Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
-Strong knowledge of data visualization best practices and techniques
-Experience with data curation, report creation, key performance indicator (KPI) development and statistical analysis
-Analytical skills, including strong SQL query knowledge
