This role involves monitoring surface and groundwater use to ensure compliance with legislation and approvals, while reviewing water rights applications, engineering reports, and hydrogeological data. You will conduct technical evaluations, including pump test analysis, recommend sustainable pumping rates and corrective actions, and prepare licences and permits.

You will also maintain water records using GIS and databases, investigate allocation concerns, and work with government, industry, and the public. The position requires clear communication through reports, correspondence, and consultations to support sound water management decisions.

The successful candidate will have a diploma in Water Resources Engineering Technology or a similar technical discipline with the eligibility for certification with Technology Professionals Saskatchewan (TPS) as a Professional Technologist (PTech or P.Tech).

This role is subject to a satisfactory criminal record check.
