Apex Valve Services is looking for a Valve Technician to join the valve modification team in Regina, SK. AVS has a technically diverse and service-oriented team that has a proven track record of providing customers with superior service and technical capabilities.
The successful applicant will work in a valve repair and machine shop; responsible for servicing and repairs to valves and other equipment according to company plans, blueprints, technical drawings and other diagrams.
Duties will include, but are not limited to (with training):
-Receiving, inspecting, disassembling, repairing, reassembling, and hydro testing of valves.
-Keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
-Within the scope of the job requirements, will be required to adhere and comply with provincial and federal law, Company policies and Safety and Environmental Regulations.
-Various shop duties as assigned by supervisor.

-Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
-Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
-Strong work ethic and positive team attitude with the ability to work independently
-Attention to safety, quality and detail is an absolute must in this position. Any current safety tickets would be considered an asset and the ability to pass a mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol test is required.
-Must have a valid drivers license.
