Description

The Good Spirit School Division Invites applications for a Temporary School Counsellor

The School Counsellor is a specialist who provides support for students with intensive needs. These personnel consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents and other personnel or agencies to support student success at school. Furthermore, the School Counsellor acts as a liaison between the school, home, community and other agencies to help students function effectively and achieve their fullest potential.

Start date:
-March 10, 2026 to February 26, 2027

Contract Details:
-Temporary Full-Time (0.8 FTE)

Salary Details:
-In accordance with OOS Salary Grid.

Qualifications
-Post-secondary degree in a field of research related to Human Services, such as Social Work or Psychology.
-Three (3) to five (5) years related work experience.

Interviews will be conducted with a suitable pool of applicants. Please note that GSSD may contact informal references not listed in your application package.

Applicants not currently working for GSSD will be required to submit a recent (within the last six months) criminal record and vulnerable sector check acceptable to the Board of Education prior to offer of employment.
