Description

Reporting to the Administrator and Council, the Operating Foreman is responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and operation of all RM infrastructure in accordance with the policies and objectives of Council. This role involves managing a team in addition to performing operational duties.
Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
    Oversee, coordinate and conduct maintenance and construction of municipal roads, culverts, and other infrastructure.
    Supervise and schedule work for municipal staff and equipment operators.
    Inspect roads and infrastructure, identify maintenance needs, and report findings to Council.
    Operate and maintain heavy equipment as needed (e.g., graders, loaders, mowers, trucks).
    Ensure safe work practices are followed and all equipment is maintained in good working order.
    Assist with budgeting and planning for roadwork and equipment requirements.
    Maintain accurate records of work completed, equipment usage, and employee hours.
    Communicate effectively with RM Council, employees, and Administrator.
Qualifications:
    Valid Class 1 drivers license
    Previous experience in a supervisory or foreman role, preferably in a municipal or construction setting.
    Strong working knowledge of municipal infrastructure and road maintenance.
    Experience operating and maintaining heavy equipment.
    Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
    Mechanical aptitude or certification is considered an asset.
    Ability to work independently and with a team.
Wages and Benefits:
