Reporting to the Wet Processing Day Support Operator, the Student, Labourer will assist with routine mine operations, including oil skimmingrecovering hydrocarbon blanket fluid from the reclaim brine pond for Wellfield reuse. You will learn procedures by shadowing experienced staff and take part in safety programs. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conducting area inspections and audits
- Review and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and Lock Out Lists
- Assisting operators as required
- Performing field rounds

- Currently enrolled in post-secondary education or a skilled trade program and must be returning to studies in the fall.
- Relevant work experience in a similar position or industry is an asset.
- Valid class 5 drivers licence.

- Sound reasoning ability, mentally alert, good communication and interpersonal skills, a high level of self-initiative, and be comfortable working with a team.
- Willing to accept responsibility for the safety of passengers and safe condition of vehicles.
- Able to work in outdoor conditions and temperatures
This opportunity is a 4-month term from May August 2026 and is on-site based at the Bethune mine.
