Description

Job Posting, Director of Learning, St. John Ambulance Saskatchewan
As a registered charity, St. John Ambulance(SJA) serves our mission each and every day by supporting communities across Canada to enhance their health and well-being through training, products and community-based services. With a provincial headquarters and training centre in Regina, SJA operates across Saskatchewan with additional facilities in Saskatoon, Lloydminster, Prince Albert and Yorkton.
As Saskatchewans leader in First Aid & CPR we are seeking a dynamic, forward thinking and innovative professional to be our next Director of Learning (DoL).
The DoL is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to over 200 instructors across Saskatchewan ensuring SJA standards are being achieved and that learners attain the skills they are seeking. In addition, the DoL works collaboratively with our five training centres to coordinate learning logistics and goals, quality control, and outcomes. The DoL works closely with our community services and operations departments to support their needs in achieving our charitable mission. The DoL also serves as a member of the provincial management team and helps set the strategic direction for the organization. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking L&D leader with a strong understanding of adult learning, digital learning technologies, and best practices. The ideal candidate also has an extensive history in achieving strong learning outcomes likely in the occupational health and safety, emergency services or public education sectors. A diploma or degree in a related discipline would be an asset.
This is a full time in office position based in the Regina provincial headquarters. Occasional travel across the province is required.
