Description

NorthWind Wood Treatment Inc. is a wood treatment facility located at the NorthWind Forest Products site in Glaslyn, Saskatchewan. The operation is proudly owned by the Meadow Lake Tribal Council. We treat specialty wood products including fence posts, rails, rough lumber, and utility poles using a CCA (Chromium Copper Arsenic) treatment process.

We are currently seeking a Treatment Plant Operator to join our team. This is a hands-on industrial role in a steady, year-round 24-hour operation with a rotating shift schedule. Training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities
    Safely and efficiently operate the wood treatment facility during assigned shifts
    Transfer products between the treatment chamber, kilns, and yard using rail carts and wheel loaders
    Load and unload treatment carts using a wheel loader
    Operate and monitor computer-based and mechanical treatment systems
    Conduct quality control testing at various stages of the treatment process
    Perform routine inspections, monitoring, and basic preventative maintenance
    Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Requirements
    Ability to work safely and independently in an industrial environment
    Willingness to work shift schedules
    Basic computer skills
    Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
    Previous experience operating heavy equipment is an asset, but not required
