What is the opportunity?
You will be the chief storyteller for the organization, crafting narratives that inform and empower investors, consumers, and industry participants and that support the perception and brand reputation of the FCAA. You will lead communication strategies, media relations, advertising campaigns, social media and website content to support our strategic goals.
What will you do?
Lead the internal and external communications functions for the organization.
Provide regular strategic communications advice and issues management support to the Board of Directors, CEO, and senior management, enhancing the organization's perception and brand reputation.
Create and manage the communications operational plan, ensuring alignment with the strategic objectives and oversee budget management.
Lead the organizations digital communication strategy, including social media engagement and web presence.
Develop and oversee public education campaigns to raise awareness of programs and initiatives, ensuring effective communication with the public.
Manage media inquiries and crisis communications to ensure accurate public messaging for the Minister and the organizations officials.
Engage and collaborate with regulatory and policy counterparts in other jurisdictions.
What do you need to succeed?
Typically, the technical skills required for this position would be obtained through a post-secondary degree in communications, journalism or public administration, combined with experience as a senior level communication professional. Public sector experience would be considered an asset in this role.
