Description

The Park Manager oversees the daily operations and maintenance of Jean Louis Legar Regional Park, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all visitors. This position involves staff leadership, facility and grounds management, and coordination of maintenance activities.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys working outdoors, interacting with the public, and taking pride in maintaining the parks beauty and functionality.


Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead park staff in day-to-day operations and maintenance.

Oversee irrigation, water, and sewer systems.

Coordinate mowing, trimming, pruning, and other groundskeeping activities.

Maintain and repair equipment used for park upkeep.

Inspect park grounds and facilities for safety or maintenance concerns and address them promptly.

Maintain accurate records for park operations, staff performance, and maintenance schedules.



Qualifications:

Proven experience in park or landscape maintenance.

Strong leadership and team supervision skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Comfortable using computers for scheduling, reporting, and communication.

Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound, independent decisions.

Experience operating small and large equipment (mowers, tractors, etc.).

Valid drivers license.

Previous management experience is an asset.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends during peak times or events.

Preference will be given to a couple interested in living on-site and jointly managing the park as Park Manager and Park Supervisor.
