Responsibilities include:
Assists the Environment Technicians as required, including but not limited to;
-Performing daily inspections & monitoring
-Groundwater sampling
-Surface water sampling
-Effluent sampling
-High volume air sampler operation
-Potable water monitoring
-Sample preparation and shipping
-Shipping material for recycling
-Equipment maintenance and calibration
-Data entry
-Waste management (including hazardous materials)
Skills and Qualifications for the position include:
-Currently enrolled in post-secondary education with a focus on environmental science or related field
-Possess excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
-Able to work in a strong team environment and be able to demonstrate initiative
-Show attention to detail
-Priority will be given to residents of Saskatchewans north (RSN)
Efforts/Demands of the Position:
-Use of all-terrain vehicles and boats must pass certification courses on site
-Outdoor work in all weather conditions
-Driving pick-up trucks Class 5 drivers licence is required
Work Location & Schedule:
-McClean Lake
-14 day in/ 14 day out rotating schedule
-Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside of normal working hours may be required
