The Business Systems Team Lead is responsible for the effective support, monitoring, maintenance, & continuous improvement of the Citys business application systems. This role provides leadership & supervision to the Business Systems Team while collaborating to deliver reliable, innovative, & strategically aligned technology solutions. The Team Lead analyzes organizational software needs, resolves system issues, identifies opportunities to enhance business operations, & leads the planning & implementation of new/improved systems.
Responsibilities
Supervise, schedule, & manage performance of staff, including recruitment, work planning, coaching, & prof dvpt.
Lead cross-department projects for the selection, implementation, enhancement, & upgrade of business systems.
Gather, document, & analyze business requirements; develop system solutions & conduct cost-benefit and ROI analyses.
Serve as the expert for business appns, supporting IT initiatives and integrations.
Develop system documentation, SOPs, & deliver end-user training.
Oversee vendor & contract mgmt for business systems in coord w/ Procurement & Legal.
Ensure system security, access controls, compliance & operational reliability.
Support financial ERP systems and SQL Server environments; participate in on-call rotations and critical incident response.
Qualifications
Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or a related field, or equiv experience.
Min. 5 years of experience in a corporate IT environment.
Demonstrated experience in business analysis, system implementation, & project mgmt.
Experience with ERP systems, SQL Server, reporting/analytics tools (Power BI, SSRS); MS Dynamics GP is an asset. Please go to the City's website for full job description.
