Description

Hours of Work: 37.5 weekly  working Monday to Friday  evenings and weekends as required

Under the supervision of the Senior Director of Childcare, the Director is responsible for the oversight of YWCA Regina's Lumsden Childcare Centre. This role supports and collaborates with Assistant Directors and Early Childhood Educators to provide high-quality early learning experiences rooted in play, exploration, and Emergent Curriculum. The Director leads with a focus on continuous learning and professional growth, while fostering a positive, collaborative team culture.

Responsibilities:
Program Development - responsible for the overall quality of programming being provided
Administration - responsible for the effective administration and leadership of childcare operations

Qualifications:
Required:
Demonstrated working knowledge of both administrative and program requirements
Strong knowledge of early years education, including:
A minimum of two years of management experience, with proven administrative, supervisory, team building, coaching, and leadership skills
ECE Level Ill (minimum), Saskatchewan certified
Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
Extensive experience in program development and delivery, with advanced knowledge and understanding of child development
Strong customer service skills and experience in relationship development
Proficiency in computer applications and systems
Ability to manage high-stress situations effectively
Valid Saskatchewan driver's license
Current and valid First Aid/CPR certification
Asset:
Early Childhood Administration- Advanced Certificate
