Description

The RM of Rosthern No 403 is now accepting applications for Two (2) full-time Seasonal Heavy Equipment Operators, typical seasonal employment duration is mid-late April to end October depending on weather.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operation of municipal equipment such as grader, tractor, ditch mower and loader for the maintenance and repair of municipal roads.
General service, maintenance and minor repair of municipal equipment.
Ensuring the equipment is operated in a safe manner.
Manual labour as required for sign installation, culvert maintenance, rock-picking, general shop and yard maintenance.
Skills and Abilities:
Have skills and knowledge in the maintenance & operation of heavy equipment.
Check, lubricate, fuel and clean equipment.
Perform pre-operational checks on equipment.
Be able to work well unsupervised and be a team player.
Be safety minded.
Have good interpersonal skills.
Have a strong communication, organization and documentation skills.
Must keep work area clean and safe.
Key Notes:
Have a Powered Mobile Equipment (PME) certificate or willing to achieve.
Possess a Class 5, Class 3 or a 1A drivers license (1A drivers license or grader experience, would be an asset).
