Prairie Spirit School Division invites applications for the position of Maintenance Technician but preference will be given to applicants holding journeyperson status. Maintenance Technicians work collaboratively as part of the facilities team and support the division in the repair and maintenance of our schools & buildings as well as participate in division construction projects. This CUPE position starts as soon as January 26, 2026, and reports directly to the Facilities Supervisor. The compensation for this position includes a full benefit package with pension, enhanced vacation leave and a salary of $37.09 43.07 per hour depending on certification. The successful candidate will be required to work full-time hours, Monday to Friday 7:00-3:30, based out of the School Services Building located in Warman, SK.
QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will:
Preference given to applicants who possess a Journeyperson Certificate in a building related trade. Carpentry, Plumbing, Refrigeration, or Electrical ( apprentices may be considered).
Have a minimum of 5 years experience.
Possess a valid drivers license.
In addition, the candidate should:
Be a strong team member and good communicator.
Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Be well-planned and well-organized.
Show evidence of being a life-long learner.
Be flexible and willing to take on new challenges.
Tools and vehicle are provided.
