Description

The primary responsibility of this role is bricklaying work. Depending on project timelines, you may also assist with general landscape installation tasks.

Key Duties
Lay bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units
Read and interpret construction drawings (plans, grades, elevations)
Prepare and install proper bases (depth, compaction, drainage, frost considerations)
Install retaining walls, steps, edging, and interlock systems
Maintain level, slope, and alignment throughout installation
Cut brick accurately and apply joint/caulking compounds
Operate hand tools, power tools, and masonry equipment
Assist with general installation work as required

Job Site & Safety Requirements
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
Coordinate with crew leads and other trades
Identify and communicate site or design issues early
Ability to operate plate compactors, cut-off saws, skid steer, and/or mini-excavator
Physically able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather
Reliable attendance and punctuality

Requirements & Experience
Valid Class 5 Drivers Licence with Abstract and G endorsement
Responsible for personal tool care
5+ years hands-on masonry or hardscape experience
Experience with residential design-build projects
References required (portfolio an asset)
