Description

The Prairie Playhouse Early Learning Centre is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to the field of Early Childhood Education and will create a nurturing & stimulating environment that promotes children's physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development while ensuring their safety & well-being.
Responsibilities:  
-Plan & implement developmentally appropriate programming based on the play and exploration curriculum.
-Create a nurturing, inclusive, & engaging learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, & curiosity.
-Ability to adapt & respond to the individual needs & interests of each child in your care.
-Observe & assess children, documenting their developmental milestones & behaviors for ongoing evaluation.
-Build a positive & trusting relationship with children & their families, fostering a sense of safety & belonging.
-Ensure effective communication with parents, guardians, colleagues, the Centre Director, & the community to promote high-quality childcare.
-Ensure compliance with health/safety & organizational policies.
-Work collaboratively with colleagues to foster a cohesive & supportive team environment.
-To provide early learning and childcare services that align with the center's core values and philosophy.
-Maintain a clean and organized centre to ensure that children have a safe space to learn, grow, & explore.
-Participate in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
-Valid ECE Certification: Level I, II, or III (or willingness to obtain)
-Valid First Aid/CPR-C Certification
-Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
-Excellent communication skills, both verbal &  written.
-Experience in supporting the needs of all children within an inclusive environment
-Applicant must currently live within 60km of Sedley
