Gabriel Housing Corporation, a non-profit housing corporation is seeking to fill the temporary fulltime position of Administrative Assistant. Reporting to the Manager, Finance & Administration, this position's primary role includes but is not limited to developing a professional working relationship with tenants, providing guidance and/or referral services to families and individuals encountering difficulties with housing or housing related matters.
The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills and be familiar with the culture of Aboriginal people, more specifically, Metis people. The successful candidate must have strong public relations, organizational and communication skills, ability to work independently with no supervision and the ability to work as a team player and be proficient in using all Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point and Windows 11.
Knowledge of an office environment, computers and software is required and should have good public relation skills. Minimum typing speed WPM 35.
