The Food Centre has an immediate opening for a Processing Technician to join our Ingredients team. This position reports to the Director, Crop Science, Product Development & Ingredient Innovation.
Core Function:
Follow procedures and instructions for R&D operations
Communicate with the team on samples or materials to work with
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate, assemble, disassemble and clean equipment as required
Fill information tables for processing conditions and attention to detail
Maintain equipment and manage consumable supplies within theareas
Perform basic analytical laboratory procedures in the physical/chemical lab
Follow standard operating procedures (SOP) and manufacturing guidelines
Keep all client project information confidential
Team player and active listening
Ability to lift 25 kg
Ability to stand for 6 hours per day
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree related to the food industry, culinary education or Grade 12 equivalent education
