The Food Centre has an immediate opening for a Food Laboratory Technician to join our Ingredients team. This position reports to the Director, Crop Science, Product Development & Ingredient Innovation.
Core Function:
Follow SOP and procedures
Data entry and clear communication with the team
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform analytical laboratory procedures in the chemical and microbial lab
Collect and maintain testing data on projects and ensure all proper documentation is completed accurately
Provide project status information to the relevant team members
Follow standard operation procedures for laboratory testing
Maintain equipment and manage consumable supplies within the laboratories
Fill reports with data obtained in trials
Support R&D processing activities and analysis for cross-functional projects
Train personnel as required on all techniques
Maintain cleanliness of work areas
Develop and maintain a positive relationship with co-workers and clients
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree related to the food industry
