Description

The WASCO PIPE PROTECTION CORPORATION is a leading provider of pipe coating solutions for the oil and gas industry. We are currently seeking a certified and experienced Boiler Operator/Power Engineer to join our team. The position will be responsible for the continuous and safe operation, maintenance, and monitoring of our facility's high-pressure boilers and ancillary equipment. This role is critical to maintaining consistent heat and power supplies for our pipe coating processes and ensuring strict compliance with all provincial safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Operate, monitor, and adjust high-pressure boilers, pumps, and associated mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all boiler room equipment, including water treatment systems, valves, and controls.
Perform water quality testing and chemical treatment to prevent corrosion and scale buildup.
Read, interpret, and maintain detailed logs of meter/gauge readings, operational data, and maintenance activities.
Troubleshoot and respond promptly to operational anomalies, alarms, and emergency situations involving boiler systems.
Ensure full compliance with the Saskatchewan Boiler and Pressure Vessel Act & Regulations, as enforced by TSASK (Technical Safety Authority of Saskatchewan).
Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to coordinate shutdowns, start-ups, and repairs.

Qualifications & Skills
Possession of a valid Saskatchewan Power Engineering Certificate (Fireman Boiler Certificate minimum)
Proven experience in operating and maintaining industrial boiler systems, preferably within a manufacturing or heavy industrial setting.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
