Our holistic, individualized approach blends Saskatchewan curriculum outcomes with counselling, outreach, and incentive-based programs to help students re-engage in learning and build confidence, resilience, and success.

Position Summary

As a Grade 78 Classroom Teacher, you will provide engaging, student-centred instruction within a supportive alternative learning environment. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to co-construct individualized programming that meets students where they are and supports their growth academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver differentiated instruction using Saskatchewan curriculum outcomes to meet the diverse needs of Grade 78 students.
Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued and supported.
Collaborate with school staff (counsellors, administration) to design individualized support plans.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
Engage with families and community partners to support student success and foster positive connections.
Participate in professional learning and contribute to the overall improvement of educational programs.

Qualifications

Valid Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate, Bachelors of Education.
Experience working with students who have diverse learning needs, including trauma, behavioral challenges, and irregular school engagement (preferred).
Strong classroom management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Commitment to inclusive, trauma-informed teaching practices and culturally responsive pedagogy.
