The Ministry of Social Services, Child & Family Programs, North Service Area, is seeking Emergency Duty Workers for Buffalo Narrows and/or Pinehouse to fill permanent part-time positions. These roles provide after-hours emergency services to families and report to a Child and Family Supervisor. Hours vary based on emergency callouts; there are no guaranteed hours.

In this position, you will investigate child abuse or neglect referrals, assess child safety risks, and develop safety plans for families in crisis. Duties include being on a regular rotation for after-hours emergency services, transporting families, providing emergency financial aid, and working flexible hours. Travel and the ability to lift and carry small children are required.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of human services policies, practices, and procedures, typically gained through a diploma or degree in a Human Services field and/or experience in a human service setting. Candidates must be legally eligible to operate a vehicle in Saskatchewan and clearly demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and abilities in their application.

Representation of Indigenous staff is prioritized, but all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. This competition will create an eligibility list valid for up to six months for current and future opportunities.
