Description

The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement (SBP) is a place where leadership is customary, innovation is encouraged, and individuals with ideas and commitment can make a difference. We enable the delivery of efficient, quality services that the public expects and deserves.

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support project forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for SBPs Infrastructure Design and Delivery Division, ensuring financial accountability and effective budget utilization. This role analyzes budget variances, consolidates forecasts, and recommends corrective actions.
Reporting to the Manager of Project Reporting and Analysis, you will coordinate financial forecasting and project reporting for infrastructure projects, monitor variances, and uphold standardized budgeting and forecasting methodologies. You will assist in developing standards and training for project management best practices, research and prepare reporting outputs and briefing materials, and manage project management software to provide accurate status and cost information. Maintaining historical expenditure data is also required.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in business administration or commerce, or a diploma in accounting, combined with strong computer skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau are essential. You will demonstrate the ability to interpret financial data, communicate insights clearly, and create compelling visualizations. Knowledge of financial planning principles, accounting, auditing, and contract administration is required, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
