The Public Guardian and Trustee of Saskatchewan is seeking a highly motivated and committed Trust Officer to join the Adult Services unit, which administers the financial and property affairs of dependent adults. We offer an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by managing client assets, income, and liabilities while ensuring their financial needs are met.
We are looking for an individual with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build effective relationships with clients, families, and stakeholders. You must be able to engage individuals who may be confused, resistant, or living with mental health challenges. Strong written and verbal skills are essential.
Candidates require a solid working knowledge of finance, administration, taxation, investment, and accounting principles. Knowledge of government operations, policies, and procedures is important, along with leadership and team-building skills to support staff. Proficiency in computer applications, including email, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases, is required. You must be able to interpret legislation, policies, and assess client financial needs creatively and effectively.
Typically, these skills are gained through a degree in Administration, Commerce, or Finance, or a diploma in Administration or Accounting, combined with relevant experience. Occasional travel within Saskatchewan may be required.
