The Role
Cameco is looking for an organized professional to navigate the regulatory landscape and propose reforms that would help the business maintain optimal compliance and consistency. In this role you will participate in various working groups and task forces organized by industry associations or focused on specific topics of regulatory concern to Cameo.
In this role, you will:
-Research upcoming regulatory changes and how they impact the organization.
-Work with internal and external stakeholders to support regulatory affairs issues.
-Prepare for and participate in communications sessions, working closely with the Vice-President, Safety, Health, Environment, Quality and Regulatory Relations.
-Monitor applicable legislative requirements and assist the legal department as required.
Required:
-bachelors degree in science, environmental studies, or law;
-ten or more years of experience working with regulatory requirements;
-equivalent combination of education and work experience considered; and
-familiarity with federal and provincial regulatory regimes, including the Nuclear Safety and Control Act.
Recommended:
-member of the Law Society of Saskatchewan; and
-uranium industry experience.
