Description

The Ministry of Highways has an exciting opportunity for a Learning and Development Coordinator in the Corporate Services Branch. This role focuses on designing, developing, and delivering learning initiatives, including e-learning, and translating technical information into learner-friendly materials. Leadership and management skills training and coaching are key areas of responsibility.

We are seeking a motivated, energetic professional with strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. You will be highly organized, able to manage time and priorities effectively, and skilled in building relationships and influencing others. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.

Candidates should have knowledge of human behavior, performance, learning and motivation, and adult learning principles. To succeed, you will apply instructional design methodologies and adult learning best practices to create blended learning solutions, facilitate instructor-led sessions, analyze learning needs, develop onboarding tools, and manage training usage and progress. Building partnerships with internal and external stakeholders is also essential.

Qualifications are typically obtained through a degree in Education, Human Resources, or Business Administration, and/or two years of experience developing learning material. A certificate in Adult Education is an asset. A valid drivers license and willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time are required.
We offer dynamic, challenging work, competitive salary, comprehensive benefits including pension, vacation and EDOs, advancement opportunities, flexible work arrangements, and an inclusive environment. Our core values include respect, integrity, service, excellence, innovation, and teamwork.
