Description

The Canadian Mental Health Association, Prince Albert Division invites qualified applicants for the full-time position of Support Worker. The Support Worker will have a strong understanding of best practices and standards, ability to complete risk assessments, carry out informal therapy when necessary utilizing different modalities and approaches. Strive to keep up to date with community resources and aid in systems navigation. It is the Support Workers role to support the clients self-efficacy while linking clients to other supports and resources when necessary. Under the umbrella of the Canadian Mental Health Association Prince Albert Branch. The Independent Living Program coexists with other unique social and vocational programming that has been developed for the clients. To build rapport and further inform perspective- it is imperative that the Support Worker spend time participating at The Nest (our drop-in center where most programming is held). Therefore, the Support Worker must be able to work
independently and as a part of a great team.
Other areas of expertise include strong interpersonal skills, time Management, professional, relatable, reliable and enjoys working one-on-one.
The Support worker will be:
- Skilled in developing case plans:
- Able to manage a case load of 30+clients
- Proficiency with word/excel/Gmail/google docs
- Meet deadlines
- Ability to take necessary action in crisis
- Leadership abilities
