Job Description: Reporting to the Manager of Quality & Safety, the Staff Safety Specialist provides consultation, development & implementation of a variety of resource options for safety and injury prevention which are in alignment with the organization strategic plan, goals & values. This position ensures workplace incidents are fully investigated, that the data is analyzed, trends identified and corrective actions are appropriate and completed by managers and supervisors. In addition, this position provides ongoing consultation with SHA departments utilizing department safety plan frameworks guided by the SHA Management System in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Association for Safe Workplaces in Health (SASWH) Safety Management System. The Specialist demonstrates strong leadership to enable an innovative and positive working climate and a client-centric culture. The Specialist must work cross functionally within the portfolio and across the organization to support operations. The Specialist will develop partnerships and work closely with system and community partners.

Experience
- Must possess three to five years of related experience
Education
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in Occupational/Industrial Hygiene
- Must have a current practicing registration with their professional association
