About the Role:
PBN Constructionis seeking Heavy Duty Mechanics, Technicians and Apprentices to join our shop team .
The Duty Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of heavy equipment and fleet vehicles used in civil earthworks and construction operations. This role ensures equipment is maintained in safe, reliable, and cost-effective working condition to support project schedules and productivity.
Position Details :
Shift Schedule is full time however the shop runs a few different shift patterns.
Shift Options may include
- 2 weeks on/ 2 weeks off , 11-12 hours per day
- 1 week on / 1 week off , 11-12 hours per day
- Monday Friday/Saturday. 8 12 hours per day
Location: Travelling to our Project sites and/or at our North Saskatoon Shop
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including but not limited to excavators, dozers, graders, loaders, haul trucks, compactors, and support equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain issues using diagnostic tools and manuals.
Repair or replace defective components such as engines, transmissions, differentials, braking systems, steering systems, and hydraulic systems.
Conduct equipment inspections and complete service reports and maintenance records.
Field & Shop Support
Provide field service support for breakdowns and emergency repairs at active job sites.
