Description

Role Summary: We are on the look out for a warm-hearted, dedicated personal care aide to provide comfort, care, and companionship to our residents. This position requires a professional willing to adapt to "all positions"from hands-on personal care to light administrative and housekeeping duties with a commitment to establishing long-term roots within the organization.
While we prioritize shift consistency and will make every effort to maintain a regular, fixed schedule for our staff, this position requires the flexibility to occasionally work alternative shifts (days, evenings, or nights) based on the evolving needs of our residents and the facility.

Key Responsibilities: Comprehensive Personal Care: Assist with daily living activities (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
Environmental Maintenance: Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and inventory management to ensure a safe, clean living space. Maintaining a pristine and sanitary environment is of utmost importance to our standards of care at Hayes Haven. Our aides are expected to take proactive ownership of their workspace; if you see something that needs attention whether it is a spill, clutter, or a sanitation need we expect you to take immediate initiative to address it without being asked.
Administrative Tasks: Document patient status accurately on charts, relay messages during shift change, and assist with simple clerical duties.
Essential Qualifications Language Proficiency: Full proficiency in speaking, reading, and understanding English is mandatory for safety and clear communication with residents, staff and professional healthcare teams.
Education & Certification: High school diploma and completion of Personal Support Worker course.
Safety Training: Current CPR /First Aid certification, Personal Care Worker Course, WHMIS certification, and Food Handlers certification.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 pounds safely.
