Job Description: Under the direction of the Program Manager and as a member of an interdisciplinary team, the Social Worker provides assessment and triage for prenatal/postnatal moms and their families. As a skilled BSW clinician, the incumbent also provides information on the KidsFirst program and collaborates with Health Authority staff to identify children and families who would benefit from ongoing in-home intervention and support. As a member of the Primary Healthcare Team, the Social Worker is responsible for ensuring a collaborative and respectful relationship with other employees. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Education
- Recognized Bachelors Degree in Social Work is required.
Experience
- Requires a minimum of one year (postgraduate) recent recognized clinical experience in an acute or community setting working with children, youth and families presenting with acute and/or chronic mental health and addiction problems.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of the diversity of cultures, values and traditions and their impact on accessing mental health services.
