Job Description: The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of speech and communication disorders in a pediatric population with a primary focus on children with identified hearing loss. This includes tasks such as completing reports, education of patients and families, providing counseling and consultation. This position reports to the Manager of the Childrens developmental Programs and within a multidisciplinary team provides the delivery of speech language pathology services to children who fall within the mandate of the WRC Childrens Program. This work is performed under the supervision of a Senior Speech Language Pathologist. . "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement". HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.
Education/Experience
- A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Saskatchewan
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of models of assessment and therapeutic interventions appropriate for the treatment of childrens speech and language diagnoses, feeding and swallowing disorders, assistive technology and cleft lip and palate services.
