Job Description: The incumbent will provide clinical addiction services adult and youth. The primary goal of this position will be to restore, maintain and enhance the recovery of people seeking help with substance use problems by implementing various modalities of addiction recovery therapies. These services will be delivered through a combination of direct services, consultation, community resource development and education. The incumbent will work as part of an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include providing informational programming, as well as individual and group counselling with relevant youth, family and community members. This position will be expected to assess individual and group needs of clients and implement treatment plans to assist clients in reaching their recovery goals. The position may provide services to youth with significant substance use / abuse issues in order to prevent the need for orders under the Youth Drug Detoxification and Stabilization Act (YDDSA).

Qualifications:
- Diploma in Chemical Dependency Studies
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of addictions issues and the effects on the family unit.
- Ability to facilitate educational and skill development groups
- Ability to accurately assess addictions and/or addiction related issues and make appropriate recovery plans and referrals.
