The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented materials planner to join our supply chain management team. This position will be located at one of our four northern Saskatchewan operations. Reporting to the lead, materials planning, you will oversee the material availability for scheduled work and develop material requirements schedule which determines what to order, how much to order and when to order materials to support planning activities.
In this role, you will:
-Oversee the material availability for scheduled work and develop a material requirements schedule which determines what to order, how much to order and when to order materials to support planning activities.
-Derive an accurate view of material requirements needed to support consumer needs by balancing orders, demand, and material inventory data.
-Analyze material inventory levels considering supply lead time, vendor constraints and transportation constraints.
Required:
-Bachelor of Commerce Degree
-Minimum ofthree to five years of related experience in an industrial setting
-Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
-Experience with a computer maintenance management system such as SAP
-Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Recommended:
-APICS, SCMP designation is preferred
-Knowledge in inventory planning processes
