The Carter House provides evidence-based, family-centred treatment for women and families affected by trauma and substance use in Saskatchewan, supporting recovery and family reunification.

Must relinquish care to access treatment
Are seeking to regain custody
Are at risk of child apprehension
Position Summary: clinical support to parents and children, treatment management, guidance and medication administration. Work with and supervise Continuing Care Assistants and work with an interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
Conduct client health assessments and monitor care using the nursing process
Implement and follow medical care plans for parents and children
Provide medical support, including screening, medication administration, and follow-up care
Manage medications and ensure compliance under RN/physician supervision
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, community services, and pharmacies to ensure continuity of care
Support, supervise, and guide CCAs regarding medical needs
Perform toxicology screening, monitor lab results, and respond to medical emergencies
Educate clients on medications, relapse prevention, and healthy lifestyles
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards
Deliver care in accordance with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Saskatchewan
Qualifications & Competencies
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) registered in Saskatchewan and in good standing
Current Basic CPR
Clinical experience with medication administration and basic procedures
Experience working in interdisciplinary, trauma-informed care settings
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
