Key knowledge and skills include understanding medical and psychiatric nursing theories, intervention strategies, and indicators of drug and alcohol withdrawal. Candidates must be knowledgeable about communicable diseases, public health considerations within a correctional setting, and multicultural beliefs and perspectives relevant to patient care. To qualify, applicants must be actively registered or eligible for registration with the Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan or the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association. The position requires flexibility to work day, evening, and weekend shifts between 07:00 and 22:30.
