We are seeking a News Reporter to join our team. Reporting to the Content Director, you will find and deliver relevant stories to our audience.
The Role
-Write digital and radio news stories.
-Find story ideas, interview sources, and verify information.
-Build relationships with local stakeholders and news sources.
-Record and edit news reports for on-air delivery.
The Ideal Candidate
-You enjoy engaging with the community and learning new things.
-You have strong written and verbal communication skills and are familiar with the Canadian Press Guide.
-News reporting experience is an asset.
-Experience with Burli, audio editing software, photography, and/or videography is an asset.
-You are dedicated to your craft and willing to work outside regular business hours when required.
-You have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
