Description

The Ministry of Parks, Culture and Sport supports economic growth and quality of life by managing provincial parks and offering recreation, sport, heritage, and cultural opportunities. The Ministry seeks a motivated Park Maintenance Worker for Buffalo Pound Provincial Park, with occasional work at Lovering Lake and Wood Mountain sites. This full-time role runs April to September, including evenings and weekends. Duties include building, trail, and grounds maintenance; operating lighttomedium equipment; performing janitorial and sanitation tasks; garbage pickup; and assisting with facility, pool, visitor centre, and bison corral upkeep. You may help monitor water and sewer systems and may supervise staff. The job requires frequent lifting and adherence to OH&S, WHMIS, TDG, and risk management standards. Candidates need experience with maintenance tasks, hand tools, and equipment; the ability to work independently or in a team; strong problemsolving and public service skills; and the physical ability to move supplies and equipment. Knowledge of cleaning methods and safe equipment operation is required. A valid drivers licence and reliable vehicle are mandatory.
