Street Culture Project is hiring a Shift Supervisor to lead our after hours (evening, weekend, and overnight) frontline transitional housing teams and ensure youth living in our Peer Homes and Shelter receive the care, structure, and connection they deserve.
Hours: 35+ hours/week (Sunday to Tuesday & every 2nd Saturday of the month, 10pm to 8am), 3-month probation and review
What Youll Do:
-Coach, train, and evaluate staff using trauma-informed and youth-centred approaches
-Coordinate daily scheduling and coverage across multiple transitional housing locations
-Respond to staffing issues in real-time and ensure team cohesion and consistency
-Collaborate with colleagues to create a unified care strategy
-Uphold agency standards, maintain accurate records, and lead with empathy and accountability
What You Bring:
-2+ years of direct youth care experience (required)
-Experience in staff supervision or team leadership (strongly preferred)
-A deep commitment to equity, harm reduction, cultural humility, and trauma-informed care
-Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure
-A drive to build others up, improve systems, and hold space for complexity
Additional Requirements
-Valid SK Driver's License with abstract
-Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector clearance
-Strong time management and documentation skills
-Comfortable using HR systems and Microsoft Office
-Training in CPR/First Aid, ASIST, Crisis Intervention, or Mental Health First Aid is an asset
