Department Description:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES.
- Enrollment in, or completion of, an academic program recognized by the Board of Certification of the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors.
- Ability to learn and apply technical knowledge in the field of public health inspection/environmental health.
- Ability to learn and apply specific public health legislation, guidelines and policy to facilities
- Ability to complete assignments in a timely, efficient and effective manner
- Ability to plan, schedule and utilize work/training time effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to plan, schedule and utilize work/training time effectively and efficiently
- Ability to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work as a productive member of a multidisciplinary team in a workplace environment
- Ability to learn and utilize sampling, monitoring and test equipment commonly utilized in public health inspection programs.
- Ability to complete technical reports within specific assignment.
