As a Bylaw Enforcement Officer, youll play a vital role in maintaining community standards and public safety. Your work will involve investigating complaints, conducting inspections, gathering evidence, and taking enforcement action when needed. This position blends independent decisionmaking with collaboration across City departments and external partners to ensure bylaws and legislation are upheld.
What You Bring
- A diploma in Law Enforcement or a related field
- At least three years of experience in enforcement or regulatory work
- Strong investigative skills and knowledge of enforcement techniques and court processes
- A valid Class 5 drivers license
- Confidence in conflict resolution, mediation, and customer service
- Ability to interpret and apply municipal bylaws and provincial legislation
- Comfort working indoors and outdoors, including in adverse weather and varied terrain
