Description

Regina Housing Authority provides affordable social housing to those most in need in our community. We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to plan and schedule the work of the maintenance department in a property management setting.
Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs
Analyze open work orders and slot them into a schedule based on priority, time required and location
Assign scheduled work orders to a staff member based on priority and skill level
Distribute jobs equitably among staff, considering their skill levels, experience, and capacity
Optimize schedules by ensuring efficient routes and utilization of time and skill.
Adjust schedules and resources in response to unforeseen issues like emergency calls, equipment breakdowns, or staff absences
Conduct an analysis of repetitive maintenance concerns and develop a standardized process

Requirements
3-5 years experience in scheduling, or dispatch, or construction management or similar; a suitable combination of education and experience is acceptable
Demonstrated understanding of general maintenance and renovation procedures and products including the ability to estimate the required time to complete standard maintenance repairs
Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise good judgment, time management, and critical thinking skills
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing in English, with a wide variety of stakeholders
Demonstrated experience with computers including high proficiency in all Microsoft applications. Strong typing skills with a high level of accuracy in data entry
