*Opportunity:

Are you looking for an opportunity to support a dynamic team that administers one of the largest municipalities in northern Saskatchewan? Northern Municipal Services, on behalf of the District as a municipality, is looking for a Municipal Projects Assistant. As a Municipal Projects Assistant, you will play an important role in advancing innovative municipal projects for the District.

This position is based in La Ronge, Saskatchewan and would suit someone excited to share their experience in supporting municipal projects in a variety of capacities.

*Key Responsibilities:

- Support senior staff in the planning and implementation of programs and policies, such as projects related to land use planning, municipal administration, emergency management and data management.
- Research best practices and trends.
- Liaise with organizations and stakeholders to obtain information.
- Tasks such as website updates, file organization, database entry and meeting support.

*Skill Set

- You are skilled at drafting clear, engaging documents that help decision makers and the public understand what matters.
- You are energized by digging into background research to help move projects forward.
- You bring sharp organization skills and a keen eye for the finer details.
- You're not afraid of technology and bring a strong aptitude for learning new software. Must be confident with Microsoft Word and familiar with Excel and PowerPoint.  

*Education

You have, or are working towards, a degree or diploma related to community planning, municipal governance, economic development, communications, recreation, tourism, English, or other related education.
