MGBHLMFN Economic Development is seeking a Security Guard the Summary:
Under the supervision of the Security Manager, provide for the safety and protection of the buildings and premises by controlling access points, patrolling the site, monitoring activities and otherwise proactively preventing theft, illegal or unauthorized entry, vandalism, and violence or threats.
DUTIES:
-Responsible for the safety and security of the facilities including staff, tenants, and guests.
-Protect property and tenants from theft, damage, trespassing or accidents.
-Ensure company policy and procedures along with the Safe Driving policy are followed.
-Ensure the proper attire is worn (black cargo pants, black footwear and assigned shirts).
-Building checks should include room/office checks to ensure windows are closed, doors are locked, lights are out, there are no water and sewer leaks or plugged drains.
-Prepare detailed daily reporting.
-Monitoring and authorization of entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain the security of the premises.
-Ensure that security measures are in place by setting and monitoring appropriate alarms.
-Establish and maintain a good working relationship with the RCMP and other Emergency Response Agencies.
-Maintain confidentiality regarding any information or action required in the course of duties in accordance with corporate and legal requirements.
-Ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
-Other reasonable duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-High School Diploma or GED equivalent
-Valid Security Guard License
