Prince Albert Housing Authority has an opportunity for a permanent, full time Maintenance Technician to join their team. If you are ambitious, results focused, a self-starter, and skilled in building and property maintenance we would love to hear from you!
The Position:
-Ensure housing units are rent ready by undertaking building maintenance and minor repairs
-Maintain equipment and inventory
-Assist with garbage removal and janitorial duties
-Groundskeeping, including grass cutting and snow removal
Responsibilities and Requirements:
-Knowledge of the basic techniques in a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, painting, flooring, and electrical
-Experience repairing building mechanical equipment, custodial, and maintenance work
-Ensure day-to-day operations are handled promptly and effectively
-Ability to maintain confidentiality
Qualifications:
-Grade 12 education, basic computer skills, supplemented with some experience in a maintenance and repair environment OR an equivalent combination is required
-Ability to participate in a regular, continuous on call program for emergencies, including evening, weekend, and holiday coverage
-A valid drivers license, reliable, roadworthy vehicle, and an approved Enhanced (Vulnerable Sector) criminal record check are conditions of employment
