Support Workers are an integral part of the HOMES staff team. The position provides a wide array of support, to individuals who were chronically homeless, once they are in permanent stable housing. The program is very flexible and provides an atmosphere of acceptance and non-judgemental approach when working with individuals. The are responsible for providing services including helping with ADLs, medication, appointments, client support. Ideal candidate will have experience working with homelessness and/or vulnerable people and will have good crisis de-escalation skills and a strong understanding of harm reduction and trauma-informed care. Must have a Saskatchewan Class 5 driver's license and valid First Aid/CPR certificate.
The position is on a 6 week rotating schedule, working 4/6 Thursday 16:30-22:30. 22 hours every 6 weeks.
